Space oddities is the theme for the 2019 regatta as we celebrate all things astronaut, alien or even Chewbacca.
Sailing events kick off at 10:30 out in the river. Events at the Boatyard kick off at 12:30 with events going on all afternoon to 17:30 at the Elephant Boat Yard in Bursledon. Fancy dress is encouraged! There will be a bar, tea and refreshments, a BBQ, Whisky & Wine Raffle, Children’s games/novelty stall and tombola.
On-the-water- events will start at about 13:15 with the Paddle Board Race. At approximately 14:15 the children’s fancy dress parade will take place. Take a look at the website - bursledonregatta.co.uk - to see the full list of events.
The Water Carnival will then take place around 15:30. If you would like to enter a float for the Water Carnival please go to the Contact page on the website and let us know. Also if you would like advice on how to build a float, let us know on the Contact page. All entries should fill in a Carnival entry form at the Information Point so we can, in the running commentary, give you the publicity you deserve for all your efforts!
Saturday Evening Events kick off at 18:00 with the Prize Giving for Dinghy Races & Pig Roast and Bar in the Elephant Boatyard
20:45 Grand Finale – Torchlight Parade of Dinghies
21:00 Grand Firework display.
21:30 REGATTA CLOSES

Yacht races will be held on Sunday 25 August out in the Solent. Notice of Race and entry forms for dinghy and yacht racing are on the regatta website - bursledonregatta.co.uk
