The December/January editions of The Scene are out now. If you haven't had one through your door you can see them online by going to our website: scene-media.co.uk/current-issues
As we were finishing off these issues at the beginning of November we were heading into our second national lockdown but here we are at the end of it and going straight into another tier system. Hopefully there is a light at the end of the tunnel with several vaccines looking like they will get approvals.
I expect Christmas will be a very different affair this year, but having said that, it doesn't make it any less special.
There are a few events coming up: The 404 Production Company have been hard at work with The Snow Queen, hoping to put the show on at the Royal Victoria Chapel, Netley. The socially distanced show will run just before Christmas and 404 Production have covid contingency plans in place.
Hamble and Netley are holding an Arts and Crafts Crawl on 5 December offering the perfect opportunity for artists to sell their work from their homes or studios.
Our Rocky Road recipe is an easy one for all ages that will make delightful gifts for grandparents and loved ones, plus our book selection in this issue is aimed at all ages and will hopefully give you some Christmas present ideas. And don't forget to buy your 2021 Hamble Lifeboat Calendar and help support this great service.
With the Government restrictions on social distancing, why not take advantage of our Green Flag status country parks. We are so lucky to have Royal Victoria and River Hamble Country Parks right on our doorstep.
And don't forget that without our advertisers there wouldn't be a Scene magazine so please make an effort to support them when you can.
I would just like to wish everyone who reads The Scene a very happy Christmas. Thank you for supporting us and lets hope that 2021 will see a return to more normal times!
