Chapel Sessions: Lily Neill

As memories of summer festivals subside we find ourselves looking towards Autumn with cosy concerts and mellow music at Chapel Sessions in Netley. Hot on the heels of the Chapel Sessions Marquee at the Pumpkin Festival (12 October) we welcome on 18 October, at St Edward’s Church, international harpist Lily Neil.

Put aside everything you ever thought you knew about the harp and open your ears to the wealth of sound that two hands and thirty strings can conjure!

Chapel Sessions are delighted to welcome Lily for the first time to play for us. Lily Neill has performed for everyone from presidents, ambassadors, and luminaries in the world of music to young music students and listeners who never dreamed they’d ever see a harp - let alone hear one create a magnificently vivid soundscape!

As a child, Lily performed for the likes of US President Bill Clinton and alongside Irish super-group, “The Chieftains”. Her original compositions alongside her dynamic mixture of Irish jigs and reels, Lithuanian dances, Finnish tangos and American Ragtime have enthralled audiences around the world. www.lilyneill.com

Doors open 7pm, on stage 7.30pm, Real Ale/Wine bar & Tea/Coffee available from 6.30pm in Church Hall. Tickets £14 from Netley Library and Eventbrite.

Free Parking at the Church and Hall.
