Hampshire Open Studios


This year over 250 studios, galleries, artists and art groups open their doors once again to exhibit original artwork to the visiting public. This is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in art to meet professional and amateur artists who show their work in diverse venues around the county.

Entry is free and to find your nearest venue check the Hampshire Open Studios website or look out for the pink direction arrows that will guide you to the artists’ doors. Free Visitor Guides are available from Post Offices, libraries, Tourist Information offices, local shops and cafes etc

Ron & Trish Moody

40 Grange Road, Netley Abbey, SO31 5FE.

From M27 – J8 take B3397 to Hamble. After ½ mile turn right (signed Woolston). After ½ mile turn left (signed Netley Abbey). Venue is 1 mile on LHS (green fence).

Ron has a large selection of new watercolour and mixed media paintings. Unframed paintings, prints and greetings cards will also be on show. Trish will be showing a range of her high quality hand made bags and textiles.

From M27 J8 take B3397 to Hamble. After 1.8 miles, turn right at roundabout to Netley Abbey. Over railway bridge, past Co-op on the left, studio on right hand side.

Using colour and texture of glass produce handcrafted mosaic mirrors, table tops and pictures as well as warm glass pictures, panels, bowls and jewellery.

Painters On The Green with Sue Rubira

Sarisbury Green Community Centre, SO31 7AA

Turn off A27 into Barnes Lane by the church at Sarisbury Green. Take the first right and right again, then drive alongside the green to the car park by the tennis court.

As part of Hampshire Open Studios 2018 an inspirational group of around 40 artists will be showing a diverse range of works in watercolours, oil, mixed media and felt at the Sarisbury Green Community Centre. The Art and Craft Show will be open to the public from 18th to 27th August, 10am-5pm except BH Monday 10am-1pm, where there will be a wide choice of framed and unframed paintings on show along with gifts, cards and refreshments and a chance to talk to the artists.

Greyladyes Arts Foundation with Hampshire Open Studios

The GAF Centre, School Road, Old Bursledon, Southampton, SO31 8BX

From the A27 at the River Hamble and railway bridge turn up Church Lane leading straight into School Road. After travelling half a mile from the A27 GAF's bell tower is on the left.
