Scene Media publishes two comprehensive annual guides for the leisure boater covering two of the largest boating centres in the UK. They are:
The River Hamble Handbook and
The Portsmouth Harbour Handbook.
Published in March each year, 7,000 of each are distributed through yacht clubs, marinas, marine businesses and the harbour authorities, plus tourist outlets, libraries, local restaurants, pubs & businesses.
The Scene Magazines - Update
The June/July 2026 issues of The Scene magazines (both the Bursledon/Hamble/Netley edition and Woolston/Itchen/ Sholing edition) were the last to be published by Scene Media, 21 years after their launch.
However, this is not the end of the magazines. We are delighted to announce that we are handing the reigns over to the very capable hands of IMS Group who have managed the distribution of both editions of The Scene for many years and are very familiar with the titles. As publishers of BH Living across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, IMS have many years experience in the world of publishing.
The team at IMS are excited to be taking over at this time and look forward to working with the contributors and advertisers over the coming issues.
