Bursledon Brickworks Open Days

Spring Steam Up, 28 April, 11am-4pm

The whole outside display area will again be bulging with steam exhibits including resident and visiting full size traction engines, scaled miniature engines, stationary power plants, fairground organs etc. right down to table top steam model displays. The very popular traction engine trailer rides will run all day and it is hoped that the tractor/trailer rides ‘trialed’ at the October open day will also be run, having proved so popular.

A chance to immerse yourself in a Victorian engineering setting for the day, and to watch the grand parade of machines ‘chuff and hiss’ their way past you as they wend their way slowly around the site!

Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Trust will be running their trains and inside the museum there is lots to see and do. Activities for children, free parking, cafe for light refreshments plus craft stalls. Adults £7, Concessions £6, Children £4 and Families £18. Go to bursledonbrickworks.org.uk

The Brickworks Beer Festival. 11 May, 12.30-5.30pm.

Over 20 real ales, ciders, hot & cold food and live entertainment....the popular Brickworks Beer Festival is back again for a third year. Keep up to date via our Facebook page: Bursledon Brickworks Beer Festival.

As always, a heritage bus service will run to/from Swanwick Station to the museum throughout the afternoon. Tickets are £7 each and have to be purchased in advance - no tickets will be on sale at the door. Tickets include entry to the museum, souvenir glass and programme.

Children accompanying their parents do not need to buy a ticket but please note they will not allowed in the bar area. Whilst dogs are allowed on site only assistance dogs will be permitted into the bar area.
