    Rare insights into Florence Nightingale and Jane Austen at Hampshire’s historic venues

    AIR AMBULANCE TO FUND PRE-HOSPITAL EMERGENCY TRAINING

    Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA), in partnership with University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), has committed to fund the first four years of a Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) training programme for Doctors in the Wessex Deanery, which includes Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.     Thousands to benefit from new courses at Hampshire’s libraries

    Thousands of residents will be helped to find a job or learn new skills thanks to free and discounted courses at Hampshire County Council’s libraries. The Library Service has been awarded over £300,000 by Hampshire Futures to support 3,500 adults across the county, as part of a wider £1.35 million programme.     Third annual ping pong event for over 65s a big success

    The third annual Ping Pong competition for over 65s supported by Hampshire County Council has been branded a resounding success – with more than 50 participants, of which almost half were complete beginners to the sport.
