Do you know about Hound Basics Food Bank?


Hound Basics Food Bank is a Church-led, Community focused project set up to help those in short term need, providing food and essential items to those living in the Netley Abbey, Hamble & Bursledon areas. Hound Basics is sponsored by Netley Christian Fellowship.

Open hours:- Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.30 am to 2 pm.

We will be operating a Jobs Club again in the future which has seen great success with people getting back into employment.

How do I get food help?

You can be referred through various agencies such as Social Services, Schools, Citizens Advice, Doctors’ Surgeries, Churches or Eastleigh Borough Council who have a Food Bank helpline Tel: 023 8068 8000.

If you would like to donate food please drop to us at 30 Queens View on a Tuesday or Thursday (10.30am - 2pm) or to one of our donation points listed below:

NETLEY ABBEY

  • Netley Co-op, Station Road

  • Netley Post Office

  • 5 Sellwood Road

  • Grange Cottage, 2 Grange Road

  • Netley Sports & Social Club (4pm-9pm)

HAMBLE

  • St Andrew’s Church, High Street (porch - between 9am-5pm)

  • Ketch Rigger - Hamble Point Marina

  • Gaff Rigger – Mercury Yacht Harbour

BURSLEDON

  • The Vicarage, School Road, SO31 8BW

  • Pilands Wood Community Centre, (Mon 10am-1pm or Tues/Thurs 10am-3pm)
